Before you get a Puppy… 📝

Are you looking at puppy pictures and researching dog breeds?

Let me share ideas for creating the perfect new dog family experience.

These ideas are entirely optional but might be incredibly helpful for a smooth, loving, and enjoyable transition for you and your puppy into your home.

I'm a brand-new puppy mom, sharing my journey of raising a puppy at 10 weeks old.

I hope it helps. Puppyhood is not for the weak.

So, I think there are two ways puppy families are created. Suddenly or Planned.

You see a little cutie, lost and totting around in a parking lot, or you are surprised by a gift from a loved one, or you rescued a doggie from a shelter who had run out of time. --- My insight might not be as relevant, but it might help you figure out where to start.

If you’re planning to pick up a pup, before you do here’s my advice.

  • Read a lot about the breed you want and think about if it will fit your CURRENT lifestyle.
  • Find a training plan for YOURSELF and your new dog. It doesn’t matter if it’s free or paid for MAKE SURE you do this!
  • Believe that puppies are like toddler kids, be prepared to treat them as such. It might sound like overkill but PUPPY NESTING might save you a major headache.
  • Make sure your house is pee free by having a Potty Training Plan, to keep your house smelling good, even with dogs.
  • Be honest about your finances and make a Budget for your new puppy dog.

Those things should get you off to a really great start!!!

Keep following our journey and I’ll give you all I learn along the way!
